Built in 1849, Waimea Guest House was the first residence in the town of Kamuela (more commonly called Waimea). This historic home was the seedling of what would soon become a bustling ranch town. Waimea town is surrounded by four of the five volcanoes on the island, and painted with rolling hills, and breathtaking views.

Ideally located in the cool hills of the Kohala Mountain Range, but still only 15 minutes from the island’s best beaches, Waimea Guest House is the perfect spot for adventurous guests, looking to get the most out of what Hawaii Island has to offer. For those who want to really experience the full range of the Big Island’s diverse ecosystems, Waimea is an idyllic and central location - equidistance from the major towns of Kona and Hilo, and a short drive from Island essentials such as Waipio Valley, Historic Kohala town, and all of the island’s major resorts and beaches. Rich in history, Waimea Guest House is the real Hawaii experience.

Our accommodations are available for one month to six month stays only. Most our accommodations are booked for 2022. Saddle Room Does have some availability and available for one week to two stays.
